Lombardy businesses offer to host artworks from museum storage

Antonio Calabrò, president of the Fondazione Assolombarda, proposed that companies in Lombardy host artworks currently stored in museum deposits, making them accessible to the public. The proposal was made during the Stati generali della Cultura di Regione Lombardia on October 18, 2025, at La Scala in Milan, in the presence of Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli. Calabrò stated that Assolombarda's member companies in Milan, Monza and Brianza, Lodi, and Pavia are willing to securely exhibit these works, allowing employees, entrepreneurs, visitors, and stakeholders to enjoy art often forgotten in museum warehouses. The initiative aims to foster dialogue between business and culture, positioning workplaces as cultural aggregation spaces and contributing to the valorization of Italy's artistic heritage. It also ties into broader discussions on the private sector's role in cultural promotion and the development of corporate museums.
