Locust Grove Pavilion by de Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop

Completed in 2022, the Locust Grove Pavilion in Louisville, Kentucky, was crafted by de Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop. Nestled within a 55-acre National Historic Landmark, this open-air structure enriches one of Kentucky's most important historical sites. It serves as a contemporary venue for community gatherings while facilitating educational programs, performances, and daily visitor activities. The pavilion broadens the interpretive mission of the William Croghan estate, extending beyond its historic buildings. Spanning 7,636 square feet, it is categorized as Cultural Architecture and Cultural Center. The project was led by Roberto de Leon and M. Ross Primmer, with contributions from Michael Gastineau, Nate Ryman, and John Welcher, and curated by Susanna Moreira.
