Locus Solus Film Series Returns to Forlì with Expanded Indoor Screenings

The Locus Solus film series returns to Forlì, expanding from its summer itinerant format to include two new indoor screenings supported by the Comune di Forlì and coordinated by the Centro Studi Leonardo Melandri. Organized by the collective ONDEURBANE, the series aims to foster intergenerational dialogue between university students, residents, and cultural organizations, using cinema as a tool to reflect on contemporary issues. The first indoor event took place on November 18 at 9 PM at Volume Bar in the university campus, featuring Gillo Pontecorvo's "The Battle of Algiers" (1966 Golden Lion winner), introduced by Professor Domenico Guzzo, director of the Istituto per la Storia della Resistenza. The second screening is scheduled for November 30 at Diagonal Loft Club, presenting Mike Cheslik's "Hundreds of Beavers," a film never distributed in Italian theaters, offering a rare big-screen viewing. Admission is free, thanks to support from the Fondazione Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì and local partners. The series transforms cinema into a collective self-portrait, moving through urban spaces and social venues to revitalize the city's cultural fabric.
