Lo Stato Sociale releases five solo EPs for tenth anniversary
Italian collective Lo Stato Sociale is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a performative project releasing five solo EPs, one per member, every Friday. The band, composed of Albi, Bebo, Carota, Checco, and Lodo, previously finished second at the 2018 Sanremo Festival with "Una Vita In Vacanza." Each EP features the member's personal musical direction, creative team, guests, and artwork by Bologna-based artist Mirko Campioni. The project echoes Kiss's 1978 solo albums but with a different approach. EPs by Bebo (Alberto Guidetti) and Checco (Francesco Draicchio) are already out, with Checco's including a tribute to late friend Mirko Bertuccioli of I Camillas. Upcoming releases are by Lodo (Lodovico Guenzi) and Albi (Alberto Cazzola), all via Garrincha Dischi/Island Record.
