Lo schermo dell’arte Film Festival Closes 10th Edition in Florence
The 10th edition of the Lo schermo dell’arte Film Festival wrapped up on November 19, 2017, in Florence, Italy, showcasing a mix of world and Italian premieres, artist films, documentaries, and two educational initiatives. Artistic director Silvia Lucchesi noted an attendance of over 6,500 people. The festival kicked off with the Italian premiere of Abbas Kiarostami's "24 Frames," directed by Hassan Khan. Notable works included "Controfigura" by Rä di Martino and "Bom Bom’s Dream" by Jeremy Deller. Documentaries highlighted figures like Joseph Beuys and Josef Koudelka, while Shirin Neshat presented "Looking for Oum Kulthum."
