festival-fair · 2026-04-27

From November 15 to 20, 2022, Florence will host the 15th edition of the Lo Schermo dell'Arte (LSDA) film festival, helmed by Silvia Lucchesi. Since its inception in 2008, the festival has focused on the intersection of cinema and contemporary art, featuring in-person screenings at Cinema La Compagnia and online access available until November 27. Sponsored by Gucci, young attendees under 30 can enter for free. The lineup includes over 30 films, such as Rosa Barba's Inside the Outset: Evoking a Space of Passage (2021) and Kasper Bech Dyg's No Predicted End, featuring Marina Abramović & Ulay. Additional films include Ogni mattina si nasce di nuovo by Maurizio Sazio, Insurrection by Andres Serrano, and Iκαρος (Icarus) by Giorgio Andreotta Calò. The VISIO program showcases eight artists under 35 and introduces a €40,000 production fund.
