LMTLS transforms SKIN1004's SoHo flagship into sculptural canyon-like retail landscape

LMTLS Architecture has finalized the second flagship store for SKIN1004, located at 470 Broadway in SoHo, New York. Spanning 9,900 sqft, the interior transforms retail into an immersive space influenced by pristine nature and weathered terrains. A 9-foot-high mirrored wall extends throughout the store, enhancing the narrow area with a canyon-like illusion. Curved wood millwork adds both artistic form and construction efficiency, while warm lighting simulates natural illumination. The layout features a double-height entry lounge for events, a cozy retail and consultation space, and a rear experiential area with a large mirror installation, LED media wall, and photo booth. Central to the design is the Nature Wall, an irregular, sculptural element that serves as seating, product display, and sales counter. This project seamlessly merges exhibition, event, and experiential elements into a cohesive flagship space, blurring distinctions between store, gallery, and museum. Photography is by Sean Davidson.
