Lisson Gallery's 50th Anniversary Book ARTIST / WORK / LISSON Documents 500+ Shows Across Three Cities
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lisson Gallery, the book ARTIST / WORK / LISSON has been released, comprising 1,152 pages that chronicle over 150 artists and more than 500 solo exhibitions held at the gallery between 1967 and 2017. Edited by Ossian Ward and designed by Irma Boom, the volume showcases notable figures such as Ai Weiwei, Yoko Ono, and Andy Warhol, featuring essays and timelines of exhibitions. Thematic chronologies are organized under letters, including F for Family and N for New York. Insights from Director Nicholas Logsdail and his team are included, and the book is printed on IBO One archival paper. Available for £60, it contains artist and author indexes, though page numbers are omitted. This publication originated from a discussion between John Latham and John A. Walker in 1987.
