Lisson Gallery Milan Celebrates Five Years with Group Show
Lisson Gallery in Milan is marking its fifth year with a group exhibition called "Five / Fifty / Five Hundred," set to kick off on September 22, 2016. This show extends into the historic Casa degli Atellani and includes Leonardo da Vinci's vineyard, bringing back memories of a 2011 exhibition led by Ryan Gander. Among the showcased pieces is Ai Weiwei's wooden icosahedron, drawing from Leonardo's design for Luca Pacioli's "De Divina Proportione" (1509), along with Christian Jankowski's neon piece "Wow!" (2013). Additional artists include Angela de la Cruz, Spencer Finch, and others. Next year, Lisson Gallery London will celebrate its 50th anniversary, and a solo show for Wael Shawky is on the calendar for November.
