Lisson Gallery expands to second New York location with Haroon Mirza exhibition

institutional · 2026-04-20

Lisson Gallery is gearing up to open a new venue in New York at 136 Tenth Avenue, with the inaugural exhibit featuring British artist Haroon Mirza. The space, previously occupied by Lori Bookstein Fine Art, has been revamped by Studio Christian Wassmann, who also collaborated with Studio MDA on Lisson's other location near the High Line. Mirza’s showcase will highlight artworks he created during his time at Pivô in São Paulo, focusing on entheogens—psychedelic plants akin to those in the ancient Amazonian brew Ayahuasca. Following Mirza’s exhibition, the gallery will present works on paper and prints by Carmen Herrera. This news was shared on February 27, 2017.
