Lise Pennington Appointed Director of Galleri F 15 and MOMENTUM Biennale in Norway

Lise Pennington will assume leadership of Galleri F 15 and the MOMENTUM biennale in September, succeeding Dag Aak Sveinar after his 16-year directorship. An art historian and curator, Pennington previously held the roles of Chief Curator and Interim Director at ARoS Aarhus Art Museum. During her tenure at ARoS, she oversaw the creation of an underground gallery and a significant permanent installation by James Turrell. Her curatorial work includes solo exhibitions featuring artists like Isaac Julien, Do Ho Suh, Grayson Perry, and Joana Vasconcelos. Galleri F 15, operating for over six decades, is housed in a 19th-century manor house situated in a historic landscape near Moss, Norway. Pennington expressed enthusiasm for developing both institutions, noting MOMENTUM's reputation as the most important biennale in the Nordics with considerable professional influence. She described Galleri F 15 as a gem with enormous potential. The appointment marks a new chapter for these cultural entities in Norway.
