Lisa Rosendahl appointed curator for Göteborg Biennial 2019 and 2021 editions

Lisa Rosendahl will curate the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art in 2019 and 2021. The independent curator and writer brings extensive experience from roles including curator at Public Art Agency Sweden from 2014 to 2017. She previously directed Iaspis, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee's international visual art, architecture and design program from 2011 to 2013. Rosendahl has also served as director of BAC in Visby, associate curator at Röda Sten Konsthall in Gothenburg, and director of exhibitions at Lisson Gallery in London. Her freelance work includes organizing exhibitions at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Kunsthall Charlottenborg in Copenhagen, and INIVA in London. GIBCA director Ioana Leca praised Rosendahl's strong knowledge of Nordic art and international perspective. The 2019 edition will run from September 7 to November 17 at Röda Sten Konsthall and other Gothenburg venues. Rosendahl has collaborated with artists including Alexandra Pirici, Annika Eriksson, Raqs Media Collective, Sara Jordenö, and Lisa Tan.
