Lisa Röing Baer's 'spark' at Kunstverein Friedrichshafen

exhibition · 2026-05-12

Kunstverein Friedrichshafen presents 'spark', a solo exhibition by Lisa Röing Baer, running until June 14, 2026. The show features vintage gasoline pumps from the petromodern era, framed analog photographs, and a round standing table with napkins inscribed 'Of Human Bondage'. The works explore themes of masculinity, dependency, consumption, and the tension between comfort and crisis. Röing Baer, a Meisterschülerin of Christopher Williams at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (2022), published her first monograph 'Der Boden knirscht unter meinen Füßen' with Kerber Verlag in 2025. That year she also held a solo show 'Column' at EIGEN ART LAB and participated in 'Perspektivwechsel' at Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf. In 2026 she presented her monograph at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. A photo edition 'napkin' accompanies the exhibition, and a performance program is funded by the Literatursommer 2026 of Baden-Württemberg Stiftung.
