Linus Festival Debuts in Ascoli Piceno Celebrating Peanuts and Comics
The first edition of Linus – Festival del fumetto will take place in Ascoli Piceno from September 29 to October 2, 2022. Directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi, the interdisciplinary festival uses comics as a bridge between literature, music, film, and performing arts. The event honors the centenary of Charles Schulz's birth and the 70th anniversary of the Peanuts strip. Highlights include the exhibition 'Tutti i linus. 100 anni con Charles Schulz' curated by Sgarbi and Marcello Garofalo at the Polo Culturale di Sant'Agostino, opening September 29. On September 30, Toni Servillo presents the film '5 è il numero perfetto' directed by Igort, and Simone Cristicchi performs 'Ho disegnato troppo'. October 1 features Davide Toffolo, Michele Bernardi, Sandro Veronesi, Lorenzo Mattotti, and Milo Manara. The final day includes Antonio Rezza, Frankie hi-nrg mc discussing Andrea Pazienza, and the premiere of 'Extralishow'. The festival won the public notice 'Promozione Fumetto 2021' from the Ministry of Culture.
