Linus Comics Exhibition at Pinacoteca di Brera for Milanesiana 2025

The 26th edition of the Milanesiana, the cultural festival founded by Elisabetta Sgarbi over 25 years ago, is dedicated to the theme of 'Intelligence', suggested by Massimo Cacciari. The festival runs until summer 2025 across twenty Italian cities, including Crotone, where a talk with Pulitzer Prize winners Michael Cunningham and Andrew Sean Greer takes place on May 22. A highlight is the exhibition 'Buon Compleanno linus. 1965–2025: 60 anni di fumetto d’autore a Milano' at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, from June 3 to September 9. Curated by Elisabetta Sgarbi and Marcello Garofalo with Igort and set design by Luca Volpatti, the show presents a selection of original comic strips and covers from the historic magazine Linus, featuring characters such as Peanuts, Popeye, Valentina, Corto Maltese, Mafalda, Dylan Dog, and Zerocalcare. A special tribute is dedicated to Altan on the 50th anniversary of his character Pimpa. The exhibition is described as a journey through Italian history following the comic revolution of Linus.
