Linfa Festival Brings Art and Nature Together on Monte Amiata

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The inaugural Linfa Festival took place in the Tuscan village of Monticello Amiata and the Poggio all'Olmo Nature Reserve, organized by the PalomArt collective. The four-day event featured exhibitions, installations, theater, street art, and performances focused on environmental themes and community regeneration. Highlights included a permanent alabaster sculpture by British artist Emily Young titled "Amiata Warrior Head," installed in the reserve, and a mural by internationally recognized street artist Millo in the central square. Another mural was created by multidisciplinary artist Matlakas. Evenings featured video mapping, performances, and installations such as Jose Carlos Bellantuono's multisensory "Natura Naturans" made from recycled materials and obsolete technology, and Rapozo's audio/visual performance "Drawing the Forest." The festival also offered guided walks and forest bathing practices in the reserve. Linfa Festival aimed to foster collaborative dynamics and inclusive practices among residents, public institutions, local entities, and artists, with a slow-living approach.
