Linda e il pollo: animated film wins César, releases September 5

The animated film "Linda e il pollo" (Linda and the Chicken), directed by Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach, will debut in Italian cinemas on September 5, distributed by I Wonder Pictures in collaboration with Unipol Biografilm Collection. The story follows young Linda and her mother Paulette on a surreal quest to find a chicken with peppers during a general strike, after a quarrel prompts them to make peace by cooking Linda's favorite dish. The film premiered at the Torino Film Festival last year and has won multiple awards, including the César Award for Best Animated Film and the Silver Crystal at Annecy. Despite its child-friendly animation, the movie explores deep themes of parent-child relationships through its absurd and comedic adventure.
