Limited: Three Exhibitions in One at Paradisoterrestre, Bologna

Paradisoterrestre, the historic Bologna-based brand founded by designer Dino Gavina, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year with a triple exhibition titled 'Limited.' Housed in a first-floor apartment in the Quadrilatero district near Piazza Maggiore, the hybrid space blends gallery, shop, and collector's home. The show presents new limited-edition collections by contemporary artists alongside reissues of historic design masterpieces. The first room features reissues of Roberto Matta's 1971 works 'Margarita' and 'Sacco alato,' and a tea set designed by Augusto Betti in 1975. The second area focuses on the present with exclusives like Allen Jones's 'Shoe Screen' screen, Paola Pivi's 'Universe' rug and 'Let’em shine art' lamps. The final room hosts a retrospective on kinetic and programmed art, featuring multiples from the 1960s by Alberto Biasi and Angel Duarte, originally produced for the Centro Duchamp in San Lazzaro di Savena. The exhibition underscores Paradisoterrestre's mission to produce new collections with contemporary figures and reissue historical pieces, maintaining the dialogue between design and art that defined Gavina's work.
