Like a Bird, Not a Feather: Five Artists Explore Lightness at Lorcan O'Neill Rome
The group exhibition 'Like a Bird, Not a Feather' at Lorcan O'Neill gallery in Rome brings together Martin Creed, Giorgio Griffa, Anselm Kiefer, Richard Long, and Luigi Ontani around the theme of lightness. The show features works previously exhibited at the gallery, reorganized across three rooms. Richard Long's stone serpent installation greets visitors, backed by three vibrant acrylic paintings by Giorgio Griffa. Martin Creed's iron staircase symbolizes ascension. The second room is dedicated to Anselm Kiefer's multimedia works blending painting, photography, books, and sculpture, infused with myth and mysticism. The third room presents four pieces by Luigi Ontani: 'Erme Bonaventura,' 'Angelo rivelato,' 'Autoritratto con tavolozza dei colori viventi,' and 'Tavolozza dei colori Nominali.' The exhibition runs until September 10, 2016.
