Light is Life Festival Transforms Bergamo and Brescia as Italian Capitals of Culture
The Light is Life festival, organized by A2A, will brighten Bergamo and Brescia in February 2023, showcasing creations from 17 artists. The event takes place in Brescia from February 10 to 19 and in Bergamo from February 17 to 26, with direction by Angelo Bonello and Pam Toonen, centered around the theme 'La città illuminata'. Notable attendees include Marcell Jacobs, Chila Kumari Burman, and Marco Lodola. The installations will utilize renewable energy, alongside a fundraising initiative for Banco dell'energia. Brescia will feature 14 installations at prominent locations, while Bergamo will highlight 12 installations in Città Alta. In spring, Montisola will host light art again with Michelangelo Pistoletto's installation, backed by Fondazione Cittadellarte and Banco dell'Energia.
