Light Art Illuminates Rome's Orto Botanico for Christmas

The Orto Botanico di Roma has been transformed into an enchanted forest with thousands of lights for the immersive light art exhibition 'Trame di Luce', organized by IMG and Italian partner Be.it Events. The exhibition features 22 stations, starting with Luminaripainting by the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Lecce outside Palazzo Corsini, home of the Accademia nazionale dei Lincei. Highlights include the large Christmas tree 'E luce sia' lit by about 300 lanterns, 'Aetherea' at the Fontana del Tritone by students and professors of the Master in Lighting Design at Università la Sapienza di Roma, and 'Soffio di Vita' by a startup led by Professor Riccardo Valentini of Università della Tuscia. The route also includes holographic videos by Dutch duo Vendel & De Wolf and star galaxies by duo MOTOREFISICO. A custom soundtrack was created by sound designers Andrea Costantini, Giacomo Cacciatori, and Marco Leo in collaboration with Be.it Events' artistic direction. Creative director Silvia Dorigo described this edition as more spectacular than last year's in Monza, with new attractions that involve visitors as co-protagonists.
