Librissima: New Bookstore Opens in Naples' Former Military Hospital
On February 13, 2026, Librissima, a new literary space, opened within La Santissima Community Hub, the former Ospedale Militare di Napoli that had been closed since 1992. The hub was regenerated through a partnership between Agenzia del Demanio, Comune di Napoli, Urban Value by Ninetynine, and Coop4Art. The inaugural event featured Celeste Costantino presenting her book "Predatori" (Fandango), which examines the link between patriarchal culture and mafia power. Librissima will host readings, talks, and presentations. The opening coincided with Art Days 2024, a contemporary art event in Naples. Additional events include Parthenope Market on February 15, a vintage and crafts market.
