Libreria Bocca, a historic bookstore founded in 1775 in Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, has launched a daily live interview series called 'Il Salotto di Bocca in Galleria. Spazio Culturale Aperto all’Aperto.' The program, which started in September 2020, streams on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, featuring 10 interviews per day from 12:00 to 18:00. It has already garnered 190,000 interactions on Facebook and hosted 220 conversations with figures such as Paola Gribaudo, Alessandro Quasimodo, Mogol, and Michelangelo Pistoletto. Topics span art, architecture, design, literature, poetry, performance, theater, cinema, music, and social issues. The series runs until October 31, 2020, pending an extension to December 31. The initiative was conceived by Giorgio Lodetti, who has run the bookstore with his father for over 40 years, specializing in art books. Collaborating publishers include ColophonArte, Jaca Book, La Vita Felice, and Skira. The interviews take place at tables designed by Milanese designer Carlo Apollo, whose clients include the Hermitage Museum.
