Letizia Battaglia and Mario Botta on Death and the Sacred in Parma

During the 15th edition of Il Rumore del Lutto at the Palazzo del Governatore in Parma, photographer Letizia Battaglia and architect Mario Botta discussed grief and the sacred in their work. Battaglia reflected on the difficulty of documenting a mother's despair over her murdered son without cynicism, emphasizing the duty to photograph. Botta described sacred architecture as giving form to silence and inviting meditation. The event, titled Visioni del Sacro, was organized by the Ordine degli Architetti di Parma with AMA Accademia Mendrisio Alumni.
