Leonor Fini's Paris Salon Reconstructed in Issoudun Exhibition Featuring 70 Works

The Musée de l’Hospice Saint-Roch in Issoudun presents an exceptional exhibition of Leonor Fini's work, running from 13 March 2026 to 30 December 2026. Nearly seventy pieces are assembled, including mostly unpublished drawings from the Cécile Reims collection and about twenty inks and paintings from five private collectors. These works highlight the diversity of Fini's artistic practice. The museum's own collection contributes paintings and drawings, with two pieces donated by the artist after her first exhibition there in 1991. A 1931 oil on canvas titled 'Femme travestie' is on loan from the Centre Pompidou. A recent donation from Richard Overstreet – Succession Leonor Fini adds a set of books from her personal library. The exhibition's centerpiece is the reconstruction of Leonor Fini's Salon from her famous Paris apartment on rue de La Vrillière, which has been faithfully recreated in Issoudun since 2007. This salon, with its 150 emblematic objects, reflects her personality and refined taste for Art Nouveau, keeping her spirit alive year-round. The show's title, 'Regarde, on dirait des humains,' is a quote from her 1978 book 'L’Onéiropompe' published by Éditions La Différence. Admission is free.
