Leonie Radine Appointed Curator at Museion Bolzano

Leonie Radine has been named curator of Museion in Bolzano, marking a return to Italy. She previously served as curatorial assistant for the German Pavilion at the 2022 Venice Biennale. Radine will work closely with director Bart van der Heide on collection development, ongoing projects, and exhibition curation. She was a curator at Museum Ludwig in Cologne from 2015 to 2022, where she organized shows including Transcorporealities and Home Visit, and collaborated on retrospectives of Haegue Yang and Wade Guyton. Earlier, she worked at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin under Susanne Pfeffer, contributing to exhibitions of Absalon, Wael Shawky, and Cyprien Gaillard. In 2018, she curated a Flaka Haliti exhibition at the National Gallery of Arts in Tirana. Radine will be involved in planned projects such as a solo show in 2023 and the third installment of TECHNO HUMANITIES. She is also developing a new exhibition series for the coming year and contributing to sustainable accessibility strategies for the upcoming show 'Kingdom of the Ill'. Van der Heide praised her international network and experience, stating her appointment boosts Museion's team and civic profile in South Tyrol.
