Leonardo da Vinci drawings on display at Milan's Cenacolo Vinciano
In the Refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, where the Last Supper is located, ten drawings by Leonardo da Vinci are on display, courtesy of the Royal Collection Trust of Queen Elizabeth II. Of these, seven are credited to Leonardo, while two are by Cesare da Sesto and one by Francesco Melzi. These artworks, created through various techniques, were produced as Leonardo developed concepts for the Last Supper and are part of a significant collection of 550 sheets left to Melzi. The exhibition is open from October 11, 2018, to January 13, 2019, with extended viewing times of 15 to 20 minutes, marking the beginning of events celebrating the 500th anniversary of Leonardo's passing, with more activities planned in Milan for the following year.
