Leonardo da Vinci and Andy Warhol in a joint exhibition in Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-04

In Milan, the exhibition 'LEONARDO & WARHOL IN MILANO. The genius experience' opens March 1, 2019 at the Crypt of Santo Sepolcro, part of the city's celebrations for the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci's death. The interactive show spans two venues: the Sottofedericiana room of the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, featuring a multimedia installation on Leonardo's projects for Milan and a projection of Andy Warhol's 1986 'The Last Supper,' and the Crypt of Santo Sepolcro, the oldest church in Milan, identified by Leonardo in the Codex Atlanticus as the city's true center. Curated by Giuseppe Frangi, the initiative is produced by Gruppo MilanoCard in co-production with the Veneranda Pinacoteca e Biblioteca Ambrosiana and the Fondazione del Credito Valtellinese. The exhibition runs through June 30, 2019.
