Lenz: A Multilayered Audio-Visual Performance in Padua
On June 15, 2018, the NEO space in Padua hosted Lenz, a project blending audio-visual performance with traditional exhibition formats. Curated by Giovanna Maroccolo and Giuliana Placanica of the Derma collective, the event unfolded across two floors. It drew inspiration from Georg Büchner's unfinished work "Lenz – racconto di una follia," featuring a sound intervention by Alessandro Ragazzo and digital manipulations by multimedia artist Samir Sayed Abdellatef. The dialogue between the two artists mirrored the protagonist's oscillation between harmony with nature and psychological vertigo, with Ragazzo's field recordings gaining visual identity through Abdellatef's visuals and eventually transforming into 3D-printed objects.
