Lena Becerra's 'COAGVLA' at Acefala Gallery, Buenos Aires

Lena Becerra's exhibition titled 'COAGVLA' took place at Acefala Gallery in Buenos Aires from February 26 to April 17, 2026. This title draws from the alchemical concept 'solve et coagula' (dissolve and recombine) and delves into the theme of transformation through matter that is both deconstructed and reconstructed. The installation showcases dystopian organic structures, featuring encapsulated materials in glass that hover between the realms of the living and the inanimate. The artworks display folds, wrinkles, and rhizomatic transparencies, reminiscent of suspended organs and fragmented forms. Utilizing materials such as glass, stainless steel, silicone, thread, and pigmented water, the exhibition creates a sensory experience that blurs the lines between body and machine, containment and leakage, as well as stasis and movement.
