Lempertz June 2026 Auction: Renoir, Nara, Lehmbruck, Heckel, Dufy, Albers

On June 5, 2026, Cologne’s Lempertz auction house will present a collection of notable works from modern and contemporary artists. One highlight is Pierre-Auguste Renoir's 'Coco comiendo sopa' (1905), featuring his young son Claude, or Coco, with an estimated price of €500,000–600,000. Yoshitomo Nara’s 'Bunny in Blue' (1997), influenced by his time in Germany, is expected to sell for €350,000 to €450,000. A marble piece by Wilhelm Lehmbruck, 'Busto de mujer' (c. 1910), potentially the last privately held, is valued at €500,000–700,000 and was shown at the 1920 Sonderbund exhibition. Other works include Erich Heckel's 'Entrando en el granero' (1909) at €300,000–400,000 and Raoul Dufy's 'La arboleda' (1922) estimated at €100,000–150,000. Josef Albers' 'Estudio en homenaje al cuadrado' (1954) is valued between €250,000 and €350,000; he was a prominent figure at both the Bauhaus and Yale.
