Lemonot Critiques Artribune Article on Oasi dei Golosi Relocation

The architecture firm Lemonot, led by Sabrina Morreale and Lorenzo Perri, published an open letter responding to Luca Arnaudo's September 30, 2023 article on Artribune about the relocation of their installation Oasi dei Golosi from Piazzale Ostiense near the Gazometro to Piazzale Tiburtina in Rome. They reject the comparison to Oldenburg's Ago, filo e nodo in Milan, stating Oasi is a small architecture meant for use, not a sculpture, designed as a permeable shelter with playful forms and climatic considerations. They attribute the stalled adaptation to a complex relationship with the administration, which lacks essential tools for public space interventions. The letter invites Arnaudo to further discuss the matter to shed light on processes needing support.
