Late Tuesday night, around 11:40 pm, Leipzig-Halle Airport in Germany experienced a security scare that prompted flight diversions and the use of a bomb disposal robot. This all started when an object was spotted near the airport, leading to a passenger flight from Mallorca and several cargo planes being redirected. Police found an unknown item near the southern runway and sent in a bomb robot for a closer look. Although officials confirmed a 'security related' issue, they didn't immediately confirm a report from Bild suggesting it was a drone with explosives near a Ukrainian Antonov cargo plane. Additionally, Bild reported that another cargo plane hit an unidentified object in the air, about 6 km from the airport, but managed to land safely in Hanover with minor damage.
