Leica Supports Young Photographer Maria Elisa Ferraris at Artissima 2023
Leica Camera Italia continues its commitment to young Italian photographers by partnering with Artribune for a project at Artissima 2023. After miart, the brand now involves photographer and artist Maria Elisa Ferraris (Turin, 1995) to produce a reportage of Turin during the art fair week. Her research focuses on human elements and landscape. Giada Triola, PR and Events Manager of Leica Camera Italia, highlighted the brand's support for young talent and authorial photography. Ferraris will use the Leica M11, a fully mechanical rangefinder camera, to capture Turin's art scene. A self-portrait by Ferraris will be exhibited at the Artribune stand during Artissima from November 3 to 5, 2023, at Lingotto. The self-portrait, featuring her shadow on a wall with a camera on a tripod, plays with light and shadow, exploring the act of photographing. Ferraris aims to convey the suspension and transformative power of art in the city through her images.
