Legacy Russell Appointed Executive Director of The Kitchen in New York

In September, Legacy Russell is stepping into the role of executive director and chief curator at The Kitchen, taking over from Tim Griffin. This year marks a special milestone for the nonprofit arts space in Chelsea, New York, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. Since 2018, Russell has served as the associate curator of exhibitions at the Studio Museum in Harlem. With this new role, she will make history as The Kitchen's first Black executive director.
