exhibition · 2026-04-02

Korean artist and philosopher Lee Ufan, who will celebrate his 90th birthday in June, is set to showcase his work in several solo exhibitions in 2026. The Dia Art Foundation will inaugurate an exhibition featuring more than a dozen paintings from 1978 to the present, along with three significant sculptural installations at the San Marco Art Centre this Saturday, coinciding with the Venice Biennale. At the venue, Lee has created two luminous artworks on a wall and a floor. Following this, he will head to Porto, Portugal, for his third institutional solo exhibition of the year at the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, opening in September. Lee, who splits his time between Paris and recently visited upstate New York for a historical display, remarked, "It is really my work that sustains me," emphasizing his daily commitment to infuse his art with a "bright sense of energy."
