Lecce's Festival della Creatività Opens Three Exhibitions at Ex Convento dei Teatini
The Festival della Creatività e degli Innovatori, organized by the Comune di Lecce in partnership with Miur, Start Smart, and Istituto Pepoli, is being held at the Ex Convento dei Teatini from May 31 to June 30, 2019. The festival features a new display called Project Room, curated by Lorenzo Madaro, which comprises two solo shows and one group exhibition on the first floor of the historic building. The solo exhibitions highlight Francesco Cuna, whose gestural and narrative paintings are described as a work of resistance connecting epochs and images, and Rossella Piccino, who uses video to document socio-cultural stories from extreme and border territories. The group exhibition features the collective EV, a newly formed group of photographers including Lorenzo Papadia, Adriano Nicoletti, Federico Patrocinio, and Marzio Emilio Villa. The festival aims to involve not only painters but also informal groups, photographers, and creatives from regional and national levels.
