Lebanese designers take center stage at Maison & Objet Rising Talent Awards
From September 7 to 11, 2018, Paris hosted the Maison & Objet trade show, honoring seven talented Lebanese designers for its Rising Talent Awards. Among them were Carla Baz, Marc Dibeh, Carlo Massoud, Anastasia Nysten, and Paola Sakr, along with the design team of Rami Boushdid and Karl Chucri from Studio Caramel. The designers, educated at renowned schools like ECAL and Politecnico di Milano, are striving to merge Eastern and Western design influences. Notably, Nysten showcased her Troll seating series, drawing inspiration from Scandinavian design principles, all while facing challenges in networking and production costs.
