Leandro Erlich's Hybrids at Negozio Olivetti for 2026 Biennale

For the 61st Venice Biennale in 2026, Associazione Arte Continua presents 'Hybrids. Leandro Erlich al Negozio Olivetti,' a collateral event curated by Marcello Dantas. The exhibition runs from May 9 to November 22, 2026, at the historic Negozio Olivetti in Piazza San Marco, a masterpiece by Carlo Scarpa. Supported by FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano ETS and Galleria Continua, it features around twenty sculptures by Erlich, including new works that blend organic and artificial forms: butterflies with ear-wings, cabbages as architectures, corals resembling cities, and trees ending in human feet. Works include 'Papillon' (2021), 'Caracol – The pace of evolution' (2021) in Carrara marble, 'Chou' (2023) in ceramic, 'White Coral' (2025) in resin, 'Serpent' (2021) in bronze, 'Quartz' (2023) in glass, 'Pies Tronco' (2021), 'Draft – Bozza' (2026) in resin and sand, 'The Cloud – Bell' (2024), 'Concrete Coral' (2025), 'Maison Fond' (2022) in Carrara marble, 'Pulled by the Roots' (2015), 'Pixel Tree' (2026) in bronze, 'La Carte' (2026) in steel, resin, and light, 'Soprattutto' (2020) in wool, and a series of photographs. The project is part of 'Arte all’Arte' program, aiming to create new links between art, architecture, and landscape. Emanuele Coccia's text emphasizes art mixing identities.
