Lea Colombo's Vibrant Stone Objects Explore Emotional Weight and Material Energy

Lea Colombo, a Cape Town-based artist and designer, has launched a striking collection that combines powerful visuals with collectible design, using stone to create emotional and sensory connections. Her Synergy Collection features pieces made from red jasper, rose quartz, sodalite, verdite, and tiger's eye, including the Red Jasper Dining Table and various coffee tables and stools. This collection was presented at the Collectible Design Fair New York, with materials sourced from Namibia and South Africa. In 2024, her first exhibition in Milan, titled Bar Colour at Bar Nico, will explore themes of color, light, form, and energy. Colombo's previous exhibitions have focused on body, emotion, and the interactive nature of her designs, which she views as vibrant landscapes rather than just decorations.
