Le Parcours des Mondes Celebrates 25 Years in Saint-Germain-des-Prés

The 25th edition of Le Parcours des Mondes, a leading international event for non-Western art, takes place from September 8 to 13, 2026, in the Beaux-Arts district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris. The event transforms the area around rue de Seine, rue Bonaparte, and rue Jacques-Callot into a global hub for arts from Africa, Oceania, Asia, the Americas, and archaeology. This year's jubilee coincides with the 20th anniversary of the musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac. Around fifty resident and international galleries participate, offering free entry to all exhibitions. Highlights include Galerie Gradiva's pairing of classical African sculptures from 'Mains de Maîtres' with luminous works by Barbara De Pauw; Galerie Charles-Wesley Hourdé's tribute to the École de Dakar with fifteen artists, including Souleymane Keïta and Amadou Seck; Galerie Dulon's revival of Max Itzikovitz's collection of ancient African and Oceanic art; and Vallois 35's display of Dominique Zinkpé's sculptures made from ibéjis, sacred twin figures from Yoruba tradition. The event underscores Paris's role as a crossroads for global art, drawing collectors and enthusiasts to explore diverse artistic heritages.
