Le Ferite: Artists Heal Historical Traumas of Rome and Turin in Two Exhibitions
The project 'Le Ferite' (The Wounds), created by Marco Bassan and curated by Ludovico Pratesi, showcases concurrent exhibitions in both Turin and Rome. In Turin, hosted at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo until October 12, artists delve into historical traumas ranging from the siege of 1639 to the 2017 tragedy at Piazza San Carlo. Meanwhile, in Rome at the Accademia di San Luca, the focus shifts to traumas such as the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BC and the killings of Pier Paolo Pasolini in 1975 and Aldo Moro in 1978. Each participating artist was provided with a handmade Amatruda paper sheet to create a piece aimed at 'healing' a particular wound. Additional editions are set for Naples, Florence, Warsaw, Athens, and London in 2026.
