architecture-design · 2026-04-27

Le Corbusier's Unité d'Habitation, known as the Cité Radieuse, in Marseille celebrates its 70th anniversary. Built between 1947 and 1952, the brutalist concrete housing complex has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2016. It houses over 1,500 residents in 337 apartments across 23 typologies, plus collective services. To mark the milestone, Galerie Philia and Eclipse magazine co-curate the group exhibition Héritages, featuring international artists and designers who reinterpret Le Corbusier's urban, architectural, and decorative principles through resonance or dissonance. The show explores the legacy of the Modern Movement pioneer.
