Le Corbusier retrospective at Zentrum Paul Klee marks 20th anniversary

exhibition · 2026-04-26

The Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, Switzerland, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a major exhibition dedicated to Le Corbusier (Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris, 1887–1965), the pioneering architect, designer, and urbanist. Titled "Le Corbusier. The Order of Things," the show runs from February 8 to June 22, 2025, and focuses on his artistic process. It features numerous drawings and sketches related to his architectural projects, as well as paintings from the Purism movement—an avant-garde style he co-founded with Amédée Ozenfant in Paris in the 1920s, exploring color, form, composition, and space. The exhibition presents a comprehensive overview of his artistic output, including found objects from beaches used as inspiration and previously little-known groups of works, such as his postcard collection, exhibited for the first time in Switzerland. The Zentrum Paul Klee, designed by Renzo Piano, opened in 2005 to house the world's most complete collection of Paul Klee's works. Le Corbusier and Klee shared a love for travel in Italy and for drawing. The exhibition is curated by Claudia Giraud.
