Laveronica Gallery Donates Artworks to Support Crema Hospital's COVID-19 Fight

Laveronica gallery in Modica, Sicily, has launched a fundraising initiative to support Crema Hospital in Lombardy, one of the regions hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the example of artist Andrea Mastrovito, the gallery is offering original artworks by four artists to donors who contribute via GoFundMe or direct bank transfer to Banca Popolare di Crema (IBAN: IT82-H-05034-56841-000000005802, with the reason "Donazione emergenza COVID 19"). Donors must send proof of payment to the gallery's email along with their details and chosen artwork; delivery will occur after the gallery reopens. The funds will be used to purchase helmets and ventilators for the intensive care unit. Participating artists include Adelita Husni-Bey (hand-painted silkscreen "Tarot" in an edition of 30, minimum donation €200), Marinella Senatore (one of 10 drawings on paper, 21 x 29.7 cm, minimum €400), Jonas Staal (one of 10 acrylics on paper, 29 x 21.7 cm, minimum €300), and Adrian Paci (one of 10 photos, approx. 42 x 29 cm, minimum €500). The gallery, founded in 2007 and now run by Corrado Gugliotta and Sveva D'Antonio, will provide updates on the initiative's progress via its Facebook page.
