Laurina Paperina's Christmas Card for Dynamo Camp Art Factory

Laurina Paperina created a Christmas card for Dynamo Camp Onlus, an organization offering free Recreational Therapy programs to children aged 6-17 with serious chronic illnesses. The camp, located in Limestre within a 900-hectare WWF-affiliated oasis, is part of the SeriousFun Children's Network founded by Paul Newman in 1988. Art Factory Dynamo, launched in 2009, involves over 80 artists working with children on tailored art projects. A survey supported by Fondazione Alta Mane confirmed the positive impact on participants. The program has expanded to include families, notably in 2017 when Dynamo became an ambassador of Michelangelo Pistoletto's Il Terzo Paradiso. Recently, Art Factory Dynamo aims to extend activities outside the camp, including museum workshops, exemplified by a collaboration with Adrian Paci at Triennale di Milano. Paperina described her experience as emotional, comparing the camp to a 'neverland' where she helped children create 'mash-up' creatures from cartoons and comics. Her Christmas card depicts Santa Claus as a space Santa riding a gift-shooting UFO.
