Laurina Paperina designs visuals for rapper G.bit's album TILT!

artist · 2026-05-04

Italian illustrator Laurina Paperina (Rovereto, 1980) created the visual identity for rapper G.bit's (Gianmarco Bitti, La Spezia) new album TILT!, released in June via Warner Music. The 12-track album blends rap, pop, and punk with irreverent style. Paperina handled all visual aspects: album artwork, single covers, and animations for the music video of Oh Baby. She also developed an augmented reality project using the Aria app, allowing fans to scan images (album cover, a banknote, a stop sign) to unlock special content on their smartphones. G.bit claims to be the first Italian music artist to use AR in this way. The collaboration emerged spontaneously, with Paperina's pop-culture-inspired, monster-filled aesthetic perfectly matching G.bit's sarcastic and ironic lyrics. The video for Oh Baby mixes real and cartoon worlds, realized by a team of animators. Paperina sees AR as a tool for physical interaction with the project, hinting at future developments. The interview with both artists was conducted by Claudia Giraud.
