Laurina Paperina designs Valentino Rossi's Moto3 team liveries

Valentino Rossi's Sky Racing Team VR46 will race with custom artist-designed liveries at the San Marino Grand Prix on September 11. Artist Laurina Paperina won a contest to design the bikes for riders Lorenzo Dalla Porta, Andrea Migno, and Nicolò Bulega. Her design, titled "Faster Than Light," features her signature irreverent characters in a colorful explosion along the fairings. The jury included Rossi, sports journalist Guido Meda, street artists David Vecchiato and Simone Pallotta, singer Matteo Maffucci of Zero Assoluto, Sky's Brand and Media Director Robert Tansey, and VR46's art director Alessandra Colombo. Paperina said she drew inspiration from the concept of speed, which she shares with the young riders. The contest pitted her against four other artists.
