Laurie Frick's Data-Driven Art and Media Habits Revealed in artcritical Column

On January 25, 2013, at 6:30 PM, Laurie Frick, the associate publisher at artcritical, will showcase her work at "Archipelago," a curated exhibition by Kaegan Sparks at Westbeth Gallery in New York. Frick, who utilizes data from self-tracking applications in her art, holds an MFA from the New York Studio School, has participated in summer studies at NYU's ITP, and earned an MBA from USC. A former executive in the high-tech sector, she has been awarded residencies at multiple institutions and received the Austin Critics' Table Outstanding Artist Award in 2012. Her writings have been featured in various publications, and she has previously exhibited at Robert Steele Gallery and Edward Cella. The exhibition "Archipelago" will be open from January 17 to 27, 2013, at 55 Bethune Street.
