Laurent Le Bon Appointed President of Musée Picasso Paris Amid Renovation Delays
Laurent Le Bon, currently director of Centre Pompidou-Metz, has been appointed president of Musée Picasso in Paris by the French Culture Ministry. The museum, which houses the world's largest collection of Picasso's work with approximately 300 paintings and 300 sculptures, has been closed for nearly five years due to a delayed and over-budget expansion project. Le Bon, aged 45, previously oversaw the opening of Centre Pompidou-Metz in 2010. The Musée Picasso is scheduled to reopen in September 2014.
